SUMMARY

The primary duty of the Manager of Finance (Systems and Compliance) is to add order and organization to the development of new operational systems and infrastructure through finance reporting. The Manager of Finance (Systems and Compliance) is responsible for financial system strategy, development, support and operation. This position has access to highly sensitive financial information and business plans of the company and requires a high level of discretion and absolute confidentiality in regard to confidential business information and trade secrets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with IT and Finance team to ensure financial systems and core accounting are compliant with all regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Serve as finance team point person to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with financial policies.
  • Inform finance operations about best practices through research.
  • Provide extensive report production including ad-hoc analyses and reports to meet internal and external requests for finance team.
  • Analyze revenue position to identify risks and opportunities in development pipeline.
  • Continuously improve systems and protocols to execute finance operations with excellence.
  • Partner with leadership team to support annual revenue planning process, including strategic analysis of staffing structure and resource allocation.
  • Support financial team to ensure proper structures to track financial items on a monthly basis, meet expense reporting deadlines, and process payments properly.
  • Manage forecasting and planning systems.
  • Managing data system that facilitates how to input, track, analyze and report on progress towards key financial outcomes.
  • Responsible for tracking an evolving picture of both revenue and expenses that facilitates financial and operational decision making.
  • Ensure team is practicing strong stewardship of resources through a deep understanding of financial processes.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to design and implement new systems.
  • Participates in the servicing of support requests where appropriate.
  • Serves as liaison to service vendors ensuring vendor performance and focus is in alignment with Company objectives.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of financial systems technology trends and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent
  • 10+ years progressive accounting and/or finance experience
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office and Yardi.
  • CPA - Preffered
  • Detail oriented with strong analytic skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to take initiative and deliver results.
  • Positive disposition, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work within deadlines.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • To perform this job successfully, the individual should have working knowledge of current computer software(s) including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, PDF, Publishing Software and Outlook.
  • The individual should have experience with Yardi Property and Onsite software (preferred).
